Paraguay begins enforcement of the Hague Service Convention effective January 2024
On January 1st, 2024, the country of Paraguay entered into force the 1965 Service Convention (formerly known as the Convention of 15 November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters), following the implementation of its instrument of accession on June 23, 2023. Paraguay is a HCCH Member since 2005 and is party to 6 HCCH conventions, including the Convention of 18 March 1970 on the Taking of Evidence Abroad in Civil or Commercial Matters, amongst others.
