Service Convention enters into force for Singapore - LSP - Legal Process Server

Singapore begins enforcement of the Hague Service Convention effective Dec. 2023

On December 1st, 2023, the country of Singapore entered into force the 1965 Service Convention (formerly known as the Convention of 15 November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters), following the implementation of its instrument of accession on May 16, 2023.

Singapore is a HCCH Member since 2014 and is party to 5 HCCH conventions, including the Convention of 18 March 1970 on the Taking of Evidence Abroad in Civil or Commercial Matters, and the Convention of 30 June 2005 on Choice of Court Agreements, amongst others.
